The Experience You Can Expect At The Stand 🍋

We strive to include a WIDE VARIETY of local artisans, makers, farmers, food producers, local businesses, services, performers and entertainers as possible! 

What does this mean for you?
It means that we comb through all vendor applications carefully and keep multiple vendors per category to a limit at each farmers market and event we host.

We do look for quality and unique styles in all vendors and will allow a limited multiple of the same, with the understanding that there should always be something for everyone, at every market. We believe we all have the freedom to choose and are excited to be able to offer the opportunities for everyone to choose how they see fit for their homes and families.

We do not provide space for MLM & third party sellers at our events, as we purposely and passionately serve our mission to put our local markers/artisans/farmers/services/musicians & performers at the front line of everything we do.
 

We accept small businesses and out of town artisans as well! Although we really started off in the heart of Kleefeld as the Kleefeld Farmers' Market in 2020 and had so many wonderful local artisans within the community, we had the amazing pleasure of drawing in so many others from surrounding communities! This is why we do what we do!

We strive to build an ever expanding community for local, small businesses and makers! Connecting customers with the people and businesses they need(YOU!!!)
So please do not hesitate to fill out an application. 

We would love to welcome you with open arms, if we are given the opportunity! (Don't worry, if you don't literally want that hug offer, we won't hug you…BUUUUT we will do a happy dance!)

  • NOPE! Our purpose is to provide opportunities that most other markets and situations would not be willing to offer a hobbiest gardener or baker or maker. You do NOT need to have a registered business to be with us. We have helped MANY “brand new at this” people to now have brick and mortar locations, others to be able to make this their full-time income for their families. We have been the connections others have needed for their social & emotional well being.

    Grow an extra row of tomatoes, offer to teach guitar lessons, mentoring classes for holistic wellness, painting or exercise groups. Sell records or antiques or collectibles…Trades people are needed always and what better way to connect with your local community than to meet them in person…you get the idea, we really aren't your average “makers, bakers, grow it” farmers market.

    All you have to do is read through and follow the steps in your application process and you will see all the upcoming events, locations and dates listed!

    We will always let it be known when an event is fully booked OR if a space has become available.

    If you do not get in for the event you applied for, we will let you know which one still has space for you!

  • The Stand Market & Events is as family friendly as they come. We strive to make all our events fun for the “little shoppers'' as well. We have done many events with petting zoos, little train rides, and parks nearby. We have joined many festivals to collaborate with for the FRESHEST events possible!

    We have had some busy hands wander a little too far in past situations, we just ask that bringing littles comes with the acknowledgement that they be closely watched and know, if they break something, the artisan be reimbursed for that loss.

  • When you apply for the markets you will enter your non-refundable payment method that will NOT be charged until your application has been reviewed and ACCEPTED. Once your payment has been processed your spot is yours to BRAG TO THE WORLD where and when you will be with us!!!

    We will have “I'm a vendor” posters available for all the events for you to post on your social media and other marketing avenues! (Go on be that person shouting from the rooftops, let's make some noise together!)

    Paying by cash or e-transfer is done on the individual basis please contact Linda MacKenzie to request further information regarding this.

  • We are usually very fortunate to have WIFI available for those booths that take card payments!

    We do ask that you simply come prepared, just in case there is an issue with your machine, WIFI cuts out or we are simply outside of a service area..

    So we advertise CASH as a preferred method of payment for attendees—so make sure you’re set up to accept it!

  • You will receive a 10*10 shop space for you to set up as you please.

    When choosing to use a tent/canopy everyone is required to have theirs be weighted down securely and all are checked at the beginning of the market set up to ensure this step has not been skipped.(need help figuring out how to weigh it down just let us know we are HAPPY to help!)

    This ensures the safety for attending guests and other vendors.

    Being an all outdoor market there can be many weather factors that an unsecured tent/canopy can cause harm to people and other vendors' spaces and products. We want this to be an incredibly prosperous time for everyone and so prevention is key.

    We do not dictate your space set up!(we believe in YOU and want your individuality to SHINE through your displays and set ups!) HOWEVER we are more than happy to help with suggestions to improve your space when asked!

    We do NOT provide electricity, tables, chairs or tents. You are welcome to use a generator.

    BUUUUT,

    We do offer (limited availability) tent and table rentals for an extra fee. This includes: set up, the mandatory tent securing and take down.

  • YOU are incharge of having all your ducks in a row. The government of Manitoba has guidelines for selling to the public. You are required to have all permits on site at each market for the health inspector if they are to come and visit us and request to see them.

    Here are those ducks you need lined up(also known as Manitoba Government Farmers Market Guidelines PDF) it's lengthy but if you scroll down to what's allowed, what isn't and what you need, it isn't so bad!

  • We get it, STUFF comes up. Exciting stuff, hard stuff and stuff you just plain forgot about because you're human.

    We take all of this into account when we decide on our vendor fees at each event.

    We request you let us know ASAP of such things. Most of these things are just out of the blue (and unavoidable) we know.

    At the same time YOUR empty spot hurts everyone. Guests who planned to come out to see you & the other vendors too. We have built our Community on trust and that's important to us.

    A LOT goes into our end behind the scenes and because of that we have a NO REFUND POLICY.

    (This includes not allowing someone else to fill your spot on your behalf as everyone is required to fill out the applications and go through the approval process and pay the fees.)

    We strongly recommend that you have a backup plan for JUST in case!

IF this were to occur that for some reason the venue was unable to have us we will let you know as soon as we do so you have the opportunity to plan accordingly. We will take the time to listen and work together with you for the best outcome for everyone. 

This may include substitution with a different date or refund on an individual case.
